The Washington DC Affiliate is one of seven affiliates in the Mid Atlantic Region of the WOCN.  Our area includes the greater Washington Metropolitan area of Maryland, the District, and Nothern Virginia.

We are fortunate to include over 100 Certified WOCNs as members who represent every major medical facility in the region.  We hold quarterly affiliate meetings at local hospitals featuring presentations by Physicians and medical professionals on topics of interest.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Be sure to check the Affiliate Meeting tab for information on our next meeting.

We present a Memorial Education Day every spring in memory of our members who believed strongly in education.  We average over 150 attendees and 20 plus vendors every year.  The training includes a morning of lectures and demonstrations and an afternoon of hands on breakout sessions on leg ulcers, fistulas, wounds, ostomies, tubes, incontinence, and NPWT.  Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a great day of professional education. Members of our affiliate are active at the regional and national levels.  We strive consistently to advance our profession as WOCNs and improve the quality of life for our patients and their families.
